SIDESWIPE AND MEAGEN CRUISING AT STILLWATER NORDIC CENTER

Skijoring is a fanastic way to keep both you and your "four-legged" happy and fit. We use a variety of methods to keep our dogs in top condition throughout the year....but when the snow is flying, skijoring is the preferred method for us AND the dogs. "The Dogyard" owner, Tom Healy, along with his wife Meagen, and Reid and Kirsten Sabin own and operate "Stillwater Nordic Ski Center." As a result, skijoring has become a daily ritual.

Some dogs take to pulling right from the "git-go" - others require a bit of training to become effective skijoring partners. Between "The Dogyard" and "Stillwater Nordic," we've got the resources to help you and your dog become a skiing team.

There are a couple of different choices for the harnesses (for both dog and skier). Price can range from 76.00 for a "one dog" basic set-up to 124.00 for a "two-dog" deluxe. Your set-up may depend on other uses you may want out of your system (pulling a scooter or mountain bike, or even some hunting "steadiness" training.)
